What’s new from MedUX at MWC26: Who Leads the Digital Experience?

Published on February 10, 2026
MWC

Mobile World Congress 2026 once again turns Barcelona into the global meeting point for connectivity, networks, and digital services.

This year, MedUX arrives with a clear message: coverage on paper is no longer enough. What truly matters commercially, operationally, and increasingly from a regulatory perspective, is real, measurable digital experience.

Across mobile, fixed, cloud, and digital services, the industry faces a common challenge: how to move from fragmented KPIs and theoretical performance to clear, comparable evidence of what users actually experience. At MWC Barcelona 2026, MedUX brings a unified answer to that challenge.

From measurements to leadership: introducing the #1 QoE Countries At the center of MedUX’s presence at MWC26 is a single question: Who truly leads the Digital Experience?

Networks

Building on its large-scale crowdsourcing programs and years of European benchmarking publications, MedUX will unveil the #1 QoE Countries in Europe and Latin America, a new generation of country-level experience leaderboards.

These rankings are built on the MedUX Score, a synthetic experience score designed to translate massive volumes of real-user data into a clear, comparable view of Quality of Experience. Rather than focusing on isolated KPIs, the score reflects what users actually perceive in their everyday digital lives: consistency, reliability, responsiveness, and service performance across mobile and fixed networks.

At MWC Barcelona 2026, these results will be revealed live, recognizing the countries that are successfully turning network investments into measurable, real-world digital experience for citizens and businesses.

Most importantly, we’ll close with an awards ceremony recognizing the top-performing countries.

Beyond rankings: the MedUX Connectivity Observatory

The #1 QoE Countries are not a one-off report. They mark the launch of the MedUX Connectivity Observatory, a new initiative through which MedUX will continuously publish QoE scores and key experience indicators by country and, over time, by operator.

The Observatory is designed to bring transparency and continuity to experience benchmarking, enabling stakeholders to track performance, identify gaps, and follow trends as networks evolve. It reflects MedUX’s broader mission: moving the industry from static reports to living benchmarks that support informed decisions.

Spain Pavilion Talk: The Mobile Connectivity Crossroads (5G, 6G & Disruptive Alternatives)

Nationwide coverage “on paper” isn’t enough. Join MedUX expert Jaime González for a practical discussion on whether 5G and 6G can deliver truly consistent connectivity across 100% of the territory—or whether disruptive approaches like direct-to-device satellite (DS2D) will redefine the roadmap for inclusive, resilient digital access.

Date & time: Monday, March 2, 2026 | 13:00–13:45, Location: Spain Pavilion Conference Set

Topics we’ll cover:

  • Real-world mobile coverage performance
  • User-perceived connectivity and experience
  • Stability and reliability for high-demand services
  • Network planning under increasing infrastructure pressure
  • Disruptive alternatives, including direct-to-device satellite (DS2D)

MedUX Innovation Lab: measuring what comes next

Alongside the country leaderboards, MedUX will showcase its Innovation Lab, focused on the next frontiers of Quality of Experience measurement.

Which Cloud Wins? Cloud Connectivity Benchmarking (Core X)

As applications and services become increasingly cloud-native, experience is no longer defined solely by access networks. MedUX Core X extends QoE performance analysis and benchmarking into distributed cloud connectivity paths, enabling visibility into performance across regions, cloud providers, and complex routing scenarios. It helps to compare and to identify degradation, risk, and bottlenecks beyond the traditional network edge.

AI Application QoE: Benchmarking and analysis of real-world GenAI performance

AI services are quickly becoming part of everyday digital interaction, but their performance is rarely measured from an end-user experience perspective. MedUX introduces AI Application QoE benchmarking, comparing real-world responsiveness, reliability, and consistency across GenAI models and services, and tracking how experience evolves across geographies.

MedUX Assistant: Ask the benchmarks

To make complex benchmarking more accessible, MedUX will also preview conversational analytics, allowing users to interact with rankings and benchmarks by simply asking questions. This new layer transforms experience data into faster insights and more intuitive decision-making.

What you’ll experience at MWC Barcelona 2026

From March 2–5, at Hall 4 – Stand 4C30/27 (Spain Pavilion), visitors to the MedUX stand will be able to:

  • Explore the live #1 QoE Country Leaderboards for Europe and Latin America
  • Discover the MedUX Connectivity Observatory
  • Experience Innovation Lab demos across Cloud connectivity and AI Application QoE
  • See how conversational analytics changes the way benchmarks are consumed
  • Meet MedUX experts and discuss concrete success stories and use cases for 5G, benchmarking, troubleshooting and regulation
